We hope your camera's fully charged, because you'll be needing it – this home has views that will leave even the most hardened New Yorker a little teary.
A groovy little garret filled with vintage furniture and original art, this double height space is wallpapered with skyscrapers and sunshine.
Curl up in the loft, hang out on the roof or just rest on the sofa with a well-earned glass of wine and watch the city light up before you. Outside, you're right between the East and Greenwich Villages, and only a few blocks from Union Square. But when it comes to seeing the city, you won't do better than the view from your very own couch.
It's hard to tear yourself away from those windows, but when you do, you'll discover the funkiest of homes. Eat at the long table while admiring the vintage typewriter, browse the many copies of National Geographic or go and investigate the adjoining kitchen, where you'll find everything you need to fix dinner, as well as all sorts of cool photos and memorabilia. And if you've work to do,
nip around the corner to find a desk, and floor-to-ceiling shelves a-groan with books.
The bathroom comes equipped with a walk-in shower, fluffy towels and our gorgeous Kiehl's toiletries, and aspiring Carrie Bradshaws will enjoy the walk-in dressing area. Then it's up to the roof to toast the dusk, before climbing the spiral staircase to the land of nod.
And when you're ready to explore, you'll find yourself close to Union Square, where you've one of the largest farmers' markets on the island. Browse the dusty tomes in The Strand, sun yourself in Washington Square Park, or hit the shops – you'll need some good clobber, because the nightlife in the East Village is second to none. And if your spirit craves art, you're surrounded by hip galleries, while the New Museum is just a few blocks away.
